I will be following the government guidelines and Strathmore will re-open on 6th July 2020. I value the welfare of all guests at all times, and with this in mind, the following precautions will be put in place to help ensure your stay at Strathmore is as safe as possible. Because of this unfortunately, not all services and facilities will be available. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns at any time.
I will be restricting the number of bedrooms available to 50% for the foreseeable future and rotating the rooms used, leaving rooms a minimum of 24 hrs before cleaning and re-letting.
I kindly request all guests throughout your stay, to observe the social distancing guidelines.
I ask if you could please provide me with an arrival time to help and try to ensure no more than one room at a time arrives to check-in.
You will find hand sanitizer as you enter the front door, please sanitize your hands accordingly before entering the building.
Should you arrive at the same time as other guests, I kindly ask if you could please wait in the inner hallway until I have checked in the guests and they have made their way to the staircase.
When you arrive, directions to your room will be given. Check-in forms will be left in the bedrooms for you to fill, and I request you provide your own pen’s to fill these in.
The dining room will be restricted to a maximum of four tables as any one time, There will be a restricted menu served and unfortunately the breakfast buffet will not be out, but all items normally on the buffet will be served from the kitchen. A pre-order may be required the night before
All soft furnishings have been removed from the bedrooms to help minimize the risk of transmission of the virus, so please excuse rooms not looking as decorative and they would normally.
Guest information books have been taken out of the rooms also so should you require any information please just ask me.
All books and information leaflets have also been removed to help with cross contamination.
The honesty bar will be closed to you for the foreseeable future, however if I am around and you would like a drink just ask and I will get it for you.
There is no problem should you wish to have take-away food in the evenings, , however I ask:-
- Should plates / cutlery be requires please provide me with some notice.
- If you are having any food delivered please let me know just so I am not disturbing guests to find out who has ordered what.
- Should you have Chinese, Indian, or other hot foods (excluding pizza) please either consume these in the dining-room (up to a maximum of two tables) or garden at the rear of the guest house.
Bills should be settled by card payment only and receipts will be e-mailed to you accordingly.
Rooms will not be serviced throughout your stay for the foreseeable future, but I am happy to change your towels at your request. All rubbish can be left outside your room or brought down in the mornings with fresh bin-liners already placed in the bottom of the bins in each room.
